it's official, we're in the running ...

hey kiddies,

some of you more perfume-savvy might already know that the fragrances foundation, awarders of the fifi's, the perfume equivilant of the oscars, recently created an indie category.  not wanting to be left out, smell bent threw a couple of our 2011 releases in the ring.  today, the full list of contenders was released, and we're so happy to be a part of it.  judging is to be held in january, so cross your fingers kiddies and wish us luck!

Happy December kiddies!

Sorry I haven't been posting as much, I had a busy weekend and am playing catch up.  The world hasn't stopped though and in the past week, people have been talking about smell bent!

• A review of Hungry, Hungry Hippies over at Polish, Platforms, Perfume.
• Our thoughts on winter and fragrance at The Scented Salamander.
• Queen Patty of the Perfume Posse wrote a wonderful piece about our smellies.
• And of course, I already mentioned it, but it bears repeating, our big break into the L.A. Times yesterday!

Custom Bent makes the L.A. Times

For those of you looking to be an individual, smell bent offers a custom service we call Custom Bent.  The process involves creating a unique scent which you help craft from the bottom up.  It's fun and you even get a smell bent drawing of yourself if you want!  Well, our little service caught the attention of Melissa Magsaysay at the L.A. It was kind of a big week for us here at SB HQ.  The web was afire with smell bent stories and we are so grateful to everybody who's helped us along the way!

not much news to report on this end … we’re working on a couple special projects for the not-so-distant-future.  but more about those later!  we are happy to announce Beauty Junkie in SF posted a gorgeous little piece about us today, you can read it here.
